56 Little Things That Make A BIG Happy
Today is the so-called “Blue Monday” – the most depressing day of the year. It’s apparently due to a culmination of factors including debt following Christmas, weather, and motivation levels. It’s supposed to be a day that all the little things getting you down combine to justify you spending the day in bed. Look, I’m here to burst that bubble: Blue Monday is a pile of pseudo-science doo-doo. It just plain does not exist. What does exist is varying media outlets going into usual paroxysms of delight about a story they think will guarantee clicks and conversation by making people feel low. Well, boo to that. And boo to the treatment of feeling low and depression as the same thing.
But, if you are feeling low today, here is a list of little things that could have one of three results. It could remind you of something awesome to lift your mood. It could inspire you to charge out and take action. Or, it could irritate you beyond belief and cause you to hate me and this site forever. Please not that last one. It’s lovely, I promise. Chock full of little things that make you BIG happy. Wonderful little things that could only fail to warm the very coldest heart. Ok, ok, if that’s you you might as well leave now. These little things ain’t for you.
